Day 1

LE MONT SAINT MICHEL
Classified a World Heritage Area by l’UNESCO, the bay of mont Saint michel boasts the strongest tides in Europe. The “Wonder of the western world stands proudly in the middle of the vast mud-flats.
Don’t forget the visit of the abbey

CANCALE
Traditional little fishing harbour and large oyster farming centre which produces thousands of tons of Portuguese and European flat oysters.
Don’t miss: walk on” la Houle Harbour” with the direct sale of oysters.
Visit of the Marine Farm, history of the ostreiculture through the visit of a family-run oyster farm. (handing-over of a diploma of honor)

DINAN « Ville d’art et d’histoire »
Dinan is a mediaeval town, one of the oldest in Brittany, towers over the Rance Valley from its ramparts.
Don’t miss: the walk on the harbour and the Jerzual street.
Or : trip out to sea from the Rance Valley to Dinard.



SAINT-MALO
Saint-Malo, the « Cité Corsaire » is famous in the entire world since the 16th century. This city is unique with  its ramparts, thanks to Vauban     
Don’t miss : boat trips in the bay of Saint-Malo from Dinard to the cap Fréhel.
Or: visit of the aquarium.

DINARD
An elegant seaside resort dating from the 19th century. Dinard has a luxurious British-style bourgeois villas and gardens full of Mediterranean plants.
Don’t miss : cross shipping from Dinard to Saint-Malo.
Or : Boat trips on the « Vallée de la Rance » with the possibility to have a lunch on board, it’s a charming wood boat with a sun deck and a bar.

Day 2

LE CAP FREHEL
Lying at the end of 400 hectares of moorland, « Cap Fréhel » towers over the sea from its pink sandstone and porphyry cliffs. It is one of the most incredible natural sites in Brittany. Boasting outstanding wildlife and flora, “Cap Fréhel” is home to a large, nesting seabird reserve and it is easy to spot shags, gulls and guillemots.

PAIMPOL
In the land of « Icelandic fishermen », the schooners of yesteryear are now a mere memory, but Paimpol is still profoundly influenced by this period.
Dont’ miss: Arcouest cape.
Ou : landing stage for the island of Bréhat (10 minutes to cross)

Ile de Bréhat :
You’ll find yourself in a different world, the « car-free » island « of flowers and pink rocks ». The contrast between the Mediteranean-style southern island with its brightly coloured shutters and lush flora, and the northern island with its Irish accents and wind-beaten moorland, is striking.

TREGUIER “Petite Cité de Caractère”
This 5th century bishopric is the birthplace of St-Yves (patron saint of lawyers) and Ernest Renan. It boasts incredible architecture – the cathedral of St-Tugdual (one of Brittany’s founding Saints) with its amazing cloister and the old parts of the town dotted with half-timbered and timber-framed houses and Ernest Renan’s childhood home.

Day 3


PERROS GUIREC
Perros Guirec has many attractions: in bottom, roads, the fishing harbour and yachting marina; higher, the borough around the church, Saint-Jacques (12nd century) finally beaches of Trestaou from where a coastal path will take you past magnificent rocky landscapes to Ploumanac'h.
Don’t miss: The landscape is probably one of the most breathtakingest in  Ploumanac’h.

THE 7 ÎLES
The Sept-Iles bird sanctuary is home to more than 17 000 pairs of seabirds including gannets, Atlantic puffins and razorbills (seals can also be spotted here).


MORLAIX
Set in the hollow of the bay which bears its name and overshadowed by an impressive viaduct, Morlaix represents the geographical, historical and tourism crossroads between the areas of “Léon”, “Trégor” and the “Monts d’Arrée”. Follow the footsteps of Anne de Bretagne in the steep alley-ways leading to the viaduct or along the medieval streets lined with hal-timbered and corbel houses. Don’t miss the unique archirtecture of the “maisons à lanterns” in Morlaix.

ROSCOFF « Petite cité de caractère »
Famous for its spa and oceanographic research centre, this pretty seaside town has retained its architectural heritage.The island of Batz : departure from Roscoff, day trip excursion (10 minutes on boat).
Or: departure from Carantec, only on summer period. To discover the Louët Island, le Château du Taureau, Morlaix bay and to stay the day on Batz Island.

Plouguerneau
Don’t miss the breathtaking panoramic view of this wild coastline from the top of the vierge lighthouse, the highest lighthouse in Europe.

Brest
Thanks to its geographical localisation, Brest has always had close ties with the sea. Its natural harbour, a vast 150sq. km stretch of water, means that it can welcome sailors from all over the world. Although the old town was bombed during the last war, the streets of Brest retain an air of adventure and the memory of the Royal and National navy is never present.

Day 4

LOCRONAN « Petite Cité de Caractère »
This pretty village is characterised by its unique architectural style. Time has stood still around the well in the main square, in the shadow of the Rennaissance dwellings, at the foot of St. Ronan Church steps and at the edge of the wash house belonging to “Bonne Nouvelle” Chapel.
Option : Douarnenez : visit of the boat museum.

LA POINTE DU RAZ « Grand site de France »
The end of a mythical world, this long, narrow, rocky outcrop stands 70m tall above the water and stretches into the sea as a chain of coral reefs.

Pont l’Abbé
The streets and monuments in Pont l’Abbé, the capital of “Bigouden” country reflect the cultural identity of this unique area where the women still proudly wear traditional dress and the famous lace coif.
Visit: the Musée bigouden and discover the arts, crafts and popular tradition of this colourful area.

Benodet
An international yachting centre, Bénodet is renowned for its picturesque setting, mild climate, Mediterranean-type vegetation and architectural gems hidden on the banks of the River Odet.

Day 5


QUIMPER « Ville d’art et d’histoire »
As the historic capital of « La Cornouaille », Quimper has retained much of its prestigious past and majestically lines the banks of the River Odet. The “Fine Arts Museum”, St Corentin’s the elegant episcopal palace, the timber -framed façades of the mediaeval dwellings and the charming old districts of Locmaria.
Visit : The HB Henriot pottery which recounts the golden age of this industry, so typical to Quimper
Or : All the treasures of Quimper on the Celtic train
Or : Board one of the Odet boats at Locmaria harbour, Quimper, for a lunchtime cruise on the prestigious river of the same mane.

CONCARNEAU « Ville d’art et d’histoire »
This former Breton stronghold, today the 3rd fishing harbour and 1st tuna fishing harbour in France, has a bustling port, fish market and a splendid coast road overlooking its many sandy beaches.
Don’t forget the fully pedestrian town centre where visitors can explore this beautiful town and its many shops

PONT AVEN
Pont-Aven is a town devoted to art which can be discovered through its museum, bridges and footbridges.
Don’t miss: Trémalo Chapel in a rural setting close to the town centre, the inspiration behind Gauguin’s famous painting, « The yellow Christ ».

AURAY AND SAINT GOUSTAN HARBOUR
Standing only a short distance from the Gulf of Morbihan, Auray is a market town centre of a road network which serves many different towns different towns in the south of the department. Visit Saint Goustan, which nestles in the Loch Valley.

CARNAC AND ITS MEGALITHS
Enjoy its sandy beaches sheltered from the wind, the traditional rural architecture of its small village and its famous megalithic site

VANNES
The keystone of the Gulf of Morbihan area, is a very old town. Its walls encircle one of the most beautiful examples of perfectly preserved and richly decorated architecture in Brittany.

Gulf of Morbihan
Whether you explore it by boat or admire it from the shore, the Gulf will certainly charm you. It is magical place where sea, land and sky merge together to from unusual and ever-changing landscapes.

Rochefort-en-Terre “Petite Cité de Caractère”
Set high on a promontory overlooking Gueuzon Valley, Rochefort-en-Terre owes its fine buildings to an eventful, historic past. Before visiting the castle, explore the town with its residences dating from the 16th to 18th century and many craft shops.


Josselin “Petite Cité de Caractère”
Josselin is seated at the edge of the Oust canal, on the road taken by the Dukes of Brittany. Don’t miss to visit the castle which offers a surprising contrast between its exterior, a reminder of the former mediaeval fortress and its interior with its Renaissance Style sculpted granite.

Brocéliande forest and its legends
Take a walk round Broceliande forest and explore the Valley of No Return (with all tha spells cast by Morgane), the Golden Tree and Merlin’s tomb.


RENNES « ville d’art et d’histoire »
With its mediaeval streets lined with timber-framed houses, its Royal squares and elegant 18th century dwellings, the historic capital of Brittany will take you on a journey back through 2 000 years of history.
The parliament building “the pride of the city” is an outstanding example of 17th century French architecture. Dont’ miss: Medieval streets, the visit of the parliament, Thabor park…
